Photonic Design Engineer

What you will do
- Design and simulate photonic components using tools like Lumerical.
- Develop PIC layouts in IPKISS, GdsFactory, or similar.
- Support internal PDK development and maintenance.
- Automate and script simulations with Python or similar languages.
- Collaborate with team members using Git for code management.
- Integrate photonic designs into system architectures.
What they look for
- MSc in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related; PhD preferred.

- 3+ years of photonics design experience, preferably in industry.
- Experince in Lumerical and PIC layout tools (eg. IPKISS, GdsFactory).
- Strong Python skills and experience with Git.
- Proficiency in English.

- Experience with Lumerical API, PDK development, Silicon Nitride platforms, and quantum integrated photonics.
Photonic Design Engineer

As we continue to expand, we're excited to add a Photonic Design Engineer to our team. This flexible, hybrid position requires a minimum of one day in the office each week and offers work locations in Germany or the Netherlands.
