Junior Software Engineer (Data)

The Software Engineer (Data) builds and operates Silverflow's data platform: the pipelines, datasets, and services that turn microservice event data into the reporting, analytics, and AI products the whole company relies on. In a regulated payments environment, this data underpins customer invoicing, transaction reconciliation, and fraud research, so accuracy, timeliness, and reliability matter as much as the features themselves.

This is a software-first role. You'll spend more time writing, testing, deploying, and maintaining code and infrastructure than doing data science. We're looking for someone with 1–3 years of experience, ideally from a software-heavy environment, who wants to own systems end-to-end with support from a senior team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines.
• Write well-tested, readable, production-ready code and participate in code reviews. 
• Deploy and maintain data infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Instrument data-quality and observability checks. 
• Support our AI tooling and automation platform - data agents, self-serve query access, and workflow automation.
• Support engineering teams in selecting and implementing suitable technologies. 
• Support product and business teams with internal tooling and datasets.
