Internship Master: Enhancing user experience: researching behavior-driven support systems

Applications are designed to be as intuitive as possible, however this can be hard to achieve in complex applications with a lot of functionality. While extensive documentation can be an invaluable tool, it remains static, and the user must find the answer to their problems in a reactive way. We believe that a proactive, AI-driven assistance - such as a virtual assistant, is the next step in supporting the users of our applications. To make this a reality, we need a data-driven understanding of user behavior. That’s where you come in.

Providing the right information at the right time remains a tough problem. We could wait for a user to start asking questions, but we could also monitor user behavior and try to predict what the user is struggling with.

To learn more about how our users are using our applications, we are looking for a student who wants to investigate this during a research assignment. You will explore how users interact with our software and investigate ways to collect, analyze and leverage behavioral data to improve user support. This internship is at the intersection of data science, UX and psychology, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our applications in a very hands-on, tangible way.
