Senior Associate I Accounting (Dutch engagements)

As a Senior Associate I Accounting, from our beautiful office in Stellenbosch (South Africa), you will support the accounting practice by processing financial administrations and performing compilations of the annual financial statements for various Dutch entities. You will work closely with colleagues in South Africa and the Netherlands within a structured planning, review, and quality control environment.

This role focuses on three core areas:

• Accounting administration
  • Processing and maintaining clients’ financial records
  • Preparing and reviewing accounting entries and general ledger transactions
  • Performing of balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations
  • Ensuring accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial administration

• Support in the compilation of the annual financial statement based on Dutch GAAP
  • Assisting with preparatory work for the annual financial statements
  • Preparing working papers, schedules, and supporting specifications
  • Performing annual financial statement preparation procedures
  • Delivering well-structured, review-ready files for senior colleagues

• Collaboration and communication
  • Communicating professionally with colleagues and, where required, clients
  • Requesting information in a timely manner
  • Identifying and escalating discrepancies, inconsistencies, or uncertainties
  • Working in accordance with agreed timelines, checklists, and quality standards
