About the role

As the Senior Scrum Master – Content & Publication (Retail/E-commerce), you will play a crucial role in helping the team to deliver high-impact projects that enhance our retail and e-commerce. You will be responsible for guiding multiple scrum teams, ensuring effective agile practices, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will work closely with product owners, development teams, technology & leadership to ensure that our Data & Analytics solutions meet business needs and drive operational efficiency.

What they look for

Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of experience as a Scrum Master & Delivery Manager, with at least 2 years in a senior role, preferably within the Data & Analytics function in retail, or e-commerce domain.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM). Advanced certifications such as SAFe Scrum Master or Certified Agile Coach are highly desirable.
Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and best practices, with a proven track record of successful agile implementations.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, driving a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
(Strong plus though not mandatory) Functional Understanding: Deep understanding of Data & Analytics functions particularly within the retail or e-commerce industry.

You will

Scrum Operations: Setting up the Scrum structure including the JIRA boards, labelling, swim lanes, effort estimates, prioritization, performance, documentation management, testing, deployment, etc.
Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring teams are aligned and focused on delivering high-quality products.
Guide Agile Practices: Mentor and coach scrum teams on agile methodologies, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that may hinder the team’s progress, escalating issues when necessary to maintain momentum.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other teams to understand requirements, manage expectations, and ensure clear communication of project status and timelines.
Performance Tracking: Monitor team performance using agile metrics and KPIs, such as velocity, burndown charts, and cycle time, to provide insights and drive improvement.
Improvements: Continuously assess and enhance agile processes and practices within the teams, leveraging feedback and lessons learned to optimize delivery based on the retrospective team's throughput & operational performance.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and dependencies, working with the team and stakeholders to mitigate them and ensure successful project delivery.
Process Management: Define, own and drive the processes for new project intake, incident / breakdowns, small scale upgrades, etc. and translating them into Scrum operations.
Communications: Lead the engagement, alignment & integration with the larger portfolio & project management office along with enterprise communications about Data & Analytics project statuses, business impact, challenges, risks, dependencies, etc. for visibility & transparency.
Miscellaneous: Conducting & coordinating online fun events and celebrating small/big successes/team's accomplishments for enabling greater collaboration among the team members across the globe.
Sending newsletters for recognition, celebrating small/big successes/team's accomplishments, etc.
