Cyber Security Engineer

• Architect, deploy, and operate security solutions that impact customer teams across the organization.
• Identify areas for improvement and assess the feasibility and benefit of security efforts.
• Collaborate with customer teams and provide guidance on security-related topics.
• Create custom tools to enhance security management within customer teams.
• Participate in incident response and serve as the go-to security expert for internal consultations.
• Use technical and soft skills to guide the organization in adopting security measures.

• 5+ years of experience in a Security Engineering role.
• A security mindset with a passion for tackling challenges related to tooling, patching, integrations, testing, and automation for both cloud and on-premises solutions.
• Experience with and understanding of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in blue team activities.
• Experience in software development, with Python as the preferred programming language.

For an engineering organization focused on delivering mission-critical IT solutions, we are looking for a hands-on Security Engineer. The organization operates with a people-centric approach and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

As a Security Engineer, you will collaborate with approximately 30 customer-oriented teams responsible for managing critical system environments. You contribute to protecting the organization and its customers by preventing incidents, responding to threats, and supporting the customer teams.

You work closely with engineers, customer teams, external experts, vendors, and stakeholders to drive projects and implement security solutions that can benefit teams across the organization. You are involved throughout the process, from concept and realization through to adoption.

The organization provides an environment focused on growth and innovation, with autonomy in day-to-day operations. Security professionals at various seniority levels are considered for the security team.

The technical landscape is diverse and highly automated, spanning private and public cloud environments, virtual machines, and serverless technologies.

Candidates must currently be living and working in the Netherlands. Relocation sponsorship is not available for this position.
