What you will do
The trajectory for a Medior Data Engineer at Xomnia is one of deliberate growth. While initially focused on designing ingestion pipelines, layered data models, and quality checks, you will gradually take on greater ownership. This progression is supported by mentorship from senior engineers and dedicated internal time to experiment with new tools and techniques.
Concretely, that means:
Designing and maintaining robust data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, and modeling, using tools such as Airflow, dbt, and PySpark.
Engineering ingestion from diverse sources into cloud storage and warehouses, handling schema drift and late-arriving data along the way.
Building and evolving layered data models that are reusable, well-documented, and performant for downstream analytics and AI use cases.
Provisioning and managing cloud data infrastructure on Azure and/or AWS
Operating and optimizing platforms like Databricks and Snowflake for reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
