About the role

Groot-Ammers (40 hours per week)

For the machine assembly location in Groot-Ammers, we are looking for a Final Quality Inspector to
strengthen our Quality Assurance team.
About Kobelco: Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe (KCME) is the European sales and marketing
subsidiary of Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. in Japan. From Lelystad, we support customers
throughout Europe, CIS, and parts of Africa with high-quality excavators and crawler cranes.
KCME is dedicated to the sales and services of crawler excavators from 1t to 90t, including an innovative
range of demolition machinery, and lattice boom crawler cranes from 55t to 550t. Modern parts warehouse
also supports aftersales service across the regions. Kobelco equipment is highly regarded for its advanced
technology, including an innovative noise and dust reduction system, and advanced hydraulic circuitry for
power and superior fuel efficiency.

Your role:

As a Final Quality Inspector, you are the final quality gate before a machine leaves our facility. You ensure
that every excavator meets Kobelco’s high standards for quality, safety, functionality, and appearance.
Working closely with Production, you perform detailed inspections, identify deviations, verify corrective
actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise and attention to detail directly
contribute to customer satisfaction and the reputation of the Kobelco brand.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final inspections on excavators before shipment to dealers and customers.
  • Verify machine specifications, configuration, functionality, and cosmetic condition.
  • Identify, document, and report quality deviations, defects, and non-conformities.
  • Coordinate and verify corrective actions prior to machine release.
  • Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Prepare failure reports and perform root cause analyses.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality.
  • Contribute to maintaining and improving quality standards, inspection methods, and work instructions.
  • Support internal audits and quality-related projects as required.
  • What You Will Bring:

  • MBO-level education or technical vocational training, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive
  • Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured working approach.
  • Experience in quality inspection, technical inspection, assembly, service, or maintenance within a technical
  • environment.
  • Technical understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality-related decisions.
  • Valid Category B driving licence.
  • Experience within the construction equipment, agricultural machinery, automotive, heavy equipment, or
  • related industries is considered a strong advantage.
