Lead / Senior Process Control Engineer

As a Lead / Senior Process Control Engineer at POWARE, you’ll have the opportunity to lead complex process control projects. In this role, you’ll design and implement process control solutions that make a real impact. You’ll ensure that industrial processes run safely, reliably and efficiently. Specifically, this means you will:

• Carry out FEED studies.
• Draw up requisitions for instrumentation and process control.
• Define the process control and safeguarding strategy.
• Develop technical standards.
• Prepare narratives for process control and safeguarding systems based on P&IDs.
• Develop Cause & Effect diagrams.
• Prepare functional and technical specifications.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a team on assignments and projects, maintaining close contact with your (sometimes temporary) colleagues and the client. You’ll lead the entire process: from FEED through to implementation, testing and commissioning. You’ll also provide expert advice and, where needed, training.

You have a solid foundation and have already gained considerable experience in the process industry. You also bring:

• A completed higher professional qualification or university degree, for example in chemical process engineering, industrial automation, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
• Several years of (international) experience in process control engineering, preferably in (petro)chemicals, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals or energy.
• Knowledge of SIL and ATEX guidelines.
• Preferably experience in configuring one or more DCS, PLC and/or SCADA systems.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• A client-oriented, ambitious attitude and a drive for teamwork.
• A structured working style and discipline in your approach.
