Your work will include
- Ensuring the careful execution of laboratory testing and the delivery of reliable, reviewed and validated test results.
- Ensuring that activities, documentation and test results comply with applicable quality guidelines, safety regulations, procedures and compliance requirements, including supporting audits.
- Identifying, investigating and escalating deviations, trends and quality issues, and ensuring appropriate follow up actions.
- Initiating and implementing continuous improvements in laboratory processes, methods, efficiency and reliability.
- Driving the sustainability agenda of the laboratory (Green Lab).
- Leading the Quality Analysis Lab team, including ensuring effective training and competency management, and coaching team members in their professional development and expertise.
- Creating and managing workforce planning, capacity allocation and prioritisation of analyses within the Quality Analysis Lab team.
- Monitoring the effective use of resources, equipment and laboratory facilities within the available budget.
- Participating in the R&D Management Team and contributing to departmental strategy.
- Collaborating with the Quality team, Production and R&D regarding current and future analytical needs, quality-related issues, deviations and improvement actions.
- Reporting on progress, performance, challenges and improvement initiatives to management and relevant stakeholders within and outside R&D.

What do we ask of you?
In addition, you have:
- Higher professional education (HBO+) level of working and thinking, with knowledge of microbiology.
- Knowledge of management techniques and the ability to develop and grow a team.
- Knowledge of the validation of new analytical methods and protocols.
- Knowledge of project management.
- Knowledge of developing frameworks and procedures relating to laboratory activities.
