Senior Project Engineer

Job Title: Senior Project Engineer Schedule: Monday - Friday, Full time Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid) This opportunity offers a key position supporting complex oil and gas projects with a strong focus on Ex compliance, project engineering, and multidisciplinary coordination. The role is centred on technical leadership across engineering, supply chain, construction, and project assurance activities, helping to ensure project objectives are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to quality standards. This company is looking for a professional who can provide oversight, structure, and technical direction across multiple project phases. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering within the oil and gas industry Experience overseeing Ex compliance activities across complex projects Experience coordinating technical interfaces across disciplines and project phases Experience supporting engineering, supply chain, and construction activities within a project environment Required Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities Proficiency in project management software and tools Strong analytical and technical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Effective time management and organisational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality Ability to develop and maintain project Ex assurance plans, Ex specifications, project matrices, and dashboards Ability to coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, construction quality teams, and site Ex leads Ability to manage supplier Ex compliance surveillance and follow up on deficiencies and clarifications from project reviews and inspection reports About Airswift: Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
