Senior Software Engineer

What you will do
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of software modules that support JBT-Marel’s vision. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including machine engineering and software platform development teams, to deliver robust and scalable solutions for industrial food processing machines.
What you will do
- Lead design, implementation, and testing of innovative software modules and features.
- Optimize existing software solutions and design next gen software solutions for the food processing industry
- Analyze requirements and write design specifications for software modules and software features
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team collaboration.
- Collaborate with multiple internal teams to ensure system architecture is implemented and tested.
- Occasionally support product releases and training on customer sites.
- Train and mentor Software Engineers and Associate Software Engineers
- Contribute to team collaboration and build team spirit
- Work in an Agile Scrum environment focused on collaboration, speed, and customer value

- Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in computer science or similar, or comparable work experience and knowledge
- Experience with .NET and Docker.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git.
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing large software solutions with object-oriented programming languages, in combination with .NET software development.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and good understanding of database operations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, stakeholders, and customers.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
