About the role

About the role

The NN Group IT Organization is looking for a passionate experienced security officer who is able to take a proactive role in the management of information security risks with a focus on enabling NN to become data-driven in our CISO department. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of IT security and compliance methods, industry standards, and have a strong conceptual understanding of data-driven working. Being able to get the message across and gain buy-in with all your stakeholders is a very important part of your mission. Additionally, the candidate must be committed to staying up-to-date with security trends and advancements, and identifying opportunities for new initiatives that can lead to further enhancements. The candidate should have strong knowledge of data lakes and PowerBI. Our key goal is to automate more data towards our stakeholders.

What they look for

In our organisation all business units are responsible for ensuring the security of our IT environment. One of the key responsibilities of the Group Information Security team is to maintain and update the IT security standards, procedures and processes that apply to all business units within NN Group. Our ongoing challenge is to optimize these procedures and processes, automate as much as possible to increase quality and reduce the complexity for all stakeholders to maintain the required levels of compliancy.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Contribute and maintain the overall vision on security & compliance together with other security officers and the security architect. Contribute towards creating an overview of how the security processes and procedures are related to each other in order to improve efficiency
  • Help the NN CISO organization to strengthen the currently mainly qualitative reporting with strong data-driven insights in the Security domain to allow for more data-driven decision making by NN
  • Having a good insight into PowerBi is a must for this role, or similar tooling with the willingness to learn the ins and outs of PowerBi
  • Driving, coordinating and reporting on central improvement initiatives for security processes and procedures across NN Group. Being able to convey your message to both management teams as well as DevOps teams
  • Active participation in determining the central vision and strategy for conducting security risk assessments and control automation, together with other security officers and the security architect. Advising the organisation on how to implement this strategy
  • Contribute on topics such as AI, Threat Modelling, Control Automation, et cetera. The Group Information Security team handles all topics security related within NN so there is room for you to shape your own responsibilities together with the team
  • Maintaining your stakeholder landscape by keeping them informed about innovations and getting to know their demands and needs within your field of expertise

What they look for

  • You are proactive and result-driven and ensure you meet agreements made
  • You are concise and have an eye for detail, while keeping the overall picture and goal in mind
  • You have a clear communication style, and know how to align with and report to higher management and your stakeholders. You know how to manoeuvre in political environments
  • You have hands-on experience with security and risk processes and procedures, so that you understand what impact changes to these processes and procedures can have on the organization
  • You are strong on content, but understand organizational challenges and are able to move security forwards in a professional, pragmatic, and cooperative way of working
