What thousands of sponsor vacancies say about hiring internationals

JobThing follows the career sites of 1,584 of the 13,257 organisations on the IND register of recognised sponsors. Between them they have 8,090 vacancies open in the Netherlands today, 39% in English. 34% state a salary, 1% promise relocation or visa support in the text, and where a salary is stated the median advertised figure is €48,000 a year. All figures are live.

key findings

• Permission is common, hiring is a smaller circle. Of the 1,584 sponsors we follow, 1,101 (70%) have a vacancy open right now; the register itself is a list of permissions, not of open roles.
• English is the minority. 3,185 of 8,090 postings (39%) are in English; 4,849 are in Dutch.
• Relocation is stated, not assumed. 82 postings (1%) mention relocation support or visa sponsorship in their own words.
• Salary transparency is low. 34% of postings state pay. Among English postings that do, 28% clear the 2026 highly skilled migrant threshold of €5,942 a month on the stated minimum.
• Starter roles exist. 1,489 postings are internships, graduate or entry-level (18%).
• Hybrid over remote. 2,703 postings describe hybrid work; only 421 are remote within the Netherlands.

Employers come from the IND public register. For each one we look for a careers page or applicant tracking system feed; 1,584 of 13,257 have one we can read reliably, and those are the employers covered here. Vacancies are collected from those feeds and limited to locations in the Netherlands. Language, salary, level, hours, work mode and relocation statements are extracted from the posting text by rules, and each job page shows the sentence behind its relocation badge. Salaries are annualised (monthly figures times 12) and the median is taken over stated minimums; hourly rates are excluded. Medians are hidden where fewer than ten postings state a salary. Counts change daily as employers post and close roles, so quote this page with its date.
