What you will do

You will act as a biomedical subject-matter expert supporting AI-powered solutions for scientific literature search and evidence discovery. You will help define customer-focused use cases, evaluation approaches, quality metrics, and acceptance criteria for natural-language search, query generation, and AI-generated summaries.

Working closely with product, data science, engineering, and content teams, you will apply your scientific expertise to assess how AI systems access, retrieve, interpret, and present biomedical information. You will also contribute to prompt-engineering guidance, structured data retrieval, and the development of manual and automated evaluation workflows. Your findings will help improve the accuracy, reliability, and usability of AI-driven biomedical tools.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain gold-standard evaluation sets for natural-language queries to biomedical databases.
  • Define biomedical search use cases and develop systematic review strategies using frameworks such as PICO and SPIDER.
  • Evaluate generated queries for syntax, scientific accuracy, controlled vocabulary, field codes, and Boolean logic.
  • Assess AI-generated summaries and supporting references using defined quality and scientific evaluation metrics.
  • Analyze evaluation findings and translate them into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.

What they look for

  • Strong academic background in bioinformatics, pharmacy, biomedicine, biology, or a related life-science field.
  • Familiarity with biomedical literature, clinical trial data, and systematic literature review methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, test, and analyze complex biomedical search strategies.
  • Experience evaluating AI or algorithmic outputs using scientific data and defined evaluation criteria.
  • Technical understanding of scientific databases and APIs, ideally including Embase
